From restaurants and bars to real estate, wellness, and professional services, we help our audience find what they need while helping business owners get the visibility they deserve.

Why it matters

Austin is one of the fastest-growing cities in the country, but that growth doesn't always reach every community. Black Life ATX helps ensure that Black businesses, culture, and stories are not left out of the conversation.

When you support a Black-owned business, attend a Black-led event, or share a story from our community, you help build a stronger, more connected Austin for everyone.

This is more than content. It's a movement toward a city where Black excellence is seen, celebrated, and supported every day.

"We are rewriting narratives, shattering limitations, and ushering in an era where Black businesses and organizations don't just survive — they thrive."

Founder

Nicole S. Cooper

Black Life ATX was founded by Nicole S. Cooper, an entrepreneur, business consultant, and digital marketing strategist with over 19 years of experience working with businesses worldwide. After returning to Austin in 2020, she saw a need for a central space where Black businesses, events, and culture could be discovered and celebrated — and she built it.

What began as a personal search for connection has grown into a platform, publication, and community movement. Nicole leads Black Life ATX with a simple belief: when Black Austin is visible, supported, and connected, the entire city thrives.
